Roving Nativity Play
Roving Nativity 2014
Every year, the story of the Nativity is re-enacted in the village of Wootton … using real people, a real baby and a real donkey!
Starting the story at the Cedar’s pub, the audience is taken on a winding route down to the stable in the Village Square (opposite the Community Centre).
A lively and ever-popular event, there will be the chance to join in carol-singing and experience some of the true spirit of Christmas!

Friday 11th December 2015 – This years Roving Nativity was our best yet .
The procession wound its way down from the Cedars led by Mary, Joseph and the donkey and accompanied by children carrying lanterns. A large crowd gathered around the Village Square to watch the story unfold and join in the singing.
Afterwards many of them went over to the Community Centre to join in the fun there, enjoy seasonal refreshments and visit charity stalls (and Father Christmas) to music provided by the Methodist Ukulele Group.
Congratulations to organisers and participants alike.
